FAQ's

How far ahead should I book?

To ensure the date and time you would like, you should book your appointment as far in advance as possible.  Online booking allows up to 8 weeks in advance, however if you have a vacation or special date further in advance than 8 weeks, you may contact Jasmine to book that for you manually.

The Online Booking option also has a section to "Add to Waitlist".  Feel free to select this option and let Jasmine know there of dates & times you are available.  The more specific the better!

If you are on the waitlist, please keep an eye out for messages from Jasmine!

What type of payment do you take?

I accept Visa, Mastercard, Debit, E-Transfer and cash.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We realize that plans change now and then.   But out of respect for Jasmine and other clients, please give 24 hour notice so your spot may be filled and we can re-book you for another day and time.

More often than not, there is a waiting list so giving sufficient notice allows your spot to be filled and therefore a late cancel or no show fee may not be charged.

May I ask to adjust certain things for my comfort?

Yes.  This is your time and you should enjoy the entire experience (as best you can while having your hair riped out).  Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make it more enjoyable for you.  (ie:  room temperature, pillows, music genre, etc.)

Please do not hesitate to let Jasmine how how she can help you to feel more comfortable.

What should I bring/wear?

If receiving a Lash Service service and you wear contacts, please bring your contact case and solution as you will be asked to remove your contacts.

For Hair Removal, you may wear loose clothing if you wish, but it's not required.

What do I do after my session?

After Hair Removal avoid pools, hot tubs, sauna/steams & sex for 24-48 hours.  Your skin pores can remain open for up to 48 hours, and these activities may cause bacteria to get into your pores, causing irritation, infection and/or ingrown hairs.

Exfoliation is key, rule of thumb is every 2-3 days.  CLICK HERE for my favorite exfoliating products

After Lash/Brow Services avoid pools, hot tubs, sauna/steams, eye/brow makeup for 24-48 hours.  These activities will cause your Lash Lift, Brow Lammy, Henna & Tint to relax and fade faster.

When do I stop shaving?

For hair removal treatments, the rule of thumb is to allow 2 weeks since your last shave.  Your hair is removed best when it is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 an inch - that's about the length of a cooked long grain rice.   If in doubt, please feel free to ask Jasmine.

Can I bring my child(ren) with me to my appointment?

Please understand, the environment is not conducive for children, therefore it is our policy to not allow children over the age of 6 months. (or as long as they fit in their bucket seat).

What if I'll have makeup on?

Before some treatments, such as Lash Lift/Tint and Brow Treatments, all eye makeup - especially mascara - must be removed.  Face wash or makeup remover wipes can be provided, but time constraints on your session may be a factor, so please allow time to remove your mascara prior to your session.

Please feel free to take a couple minutes to freshen up after your treatment in our client washroom.

Do I need to inform you of any health concerns or physical conditions before my visit?

Yes, it’s very important to let us know about any health conditions, such as allergies, pregnancy, use of mobility aids, or contagious conditions, so we can best accommodate your needs. We recommend consulting your physician before visiting Imagine Day Spa, and please inform us of any specific needs or concerns when booking.

Jasmine will review your health history with you before starting any service. If she feels a service may be unsafe based on your health information, they may suggest canceling, modifying, or rescheduling for your safety. Imagine Day Spa prioritizes your well-being and reserves the right to refuse service when necessary. Please note that we are not responsible for any adverse effects of spa treatments.

Can I get a Brazilian while on my period?
Yes absolutely!  Just please keep your coochie clean & use a tampon or menstrul cup.  It may hurt more than usual during shark week, but it'll be worth it when it's over (the sugar AND the period!)

Does Hair Removal hurt?

Some clients like to take a Tylenol or Advil about 45 minutes prior to the session, there are also topical numbing creams that may help (Zensa is in stock at Imagine), but many clients find they don't require pain prevention.

You can do anything for 30 minutes!

What if I have a cold or the flu?

If you have a cold or the flu, we kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment with us out of respect to Jasmine and other clients.  Please understand Jasmine is the sole Esthetician - therefore if she gets sick that results in cancelling other clients and in turn, loss of income.

Your understanding & respect is greatly appreciated.

I'm pregnant.  What does this mean for my session?

We kindly ask that you inform us upon booking your appointment as some pre/post care products contain ingredients that may need to be avoided.  There are also services such as some Brow & Lash services that pregancy and/or breastfeeding may yield little to no results due to the ever changing hormones.

With services such as Hair Removal, especially a Brazilian Sugar it is important to know if you're pregnant, due to the pain & discomfort you may feel during this services.

Also, if you are in your first trimester or have any health concerns or complications during your pregnancy that you please have a doctors note.

Sugaring can take place right from your first trimester until the days leading up to delivery!  It may hurt a bit more than usual. but you are a warrior goddess and you can do ANYTHING! (Plus it beats getting a dry shave or having a giant bush at the hospital).

Can I talk?

Of course!  Jasmine has "Therapist" stamped across her forehead!  She will allow you to lead - meaning if you'd like to talk by all means.  If you are quiet, she will take your lead and be quiet as well.  This is YOUR time, and you can do with it whatever you need.  So should you want to chat or have quiet time, it's up to you!

You are in a safe space with Jasmine, nothing you tell her will get repeated. She is so honored to that so many wonderful women trust her in so many ways.

Do I undress completely?

For a treatment such as bikini or brazilian - yes you have to take your bottoms off.  But it is ultimately your comfort level - don't be afraid to be honest with your Esthetician.  Everything from the waist up will stay on (unless you're wearing a romper, then you will recieve an extra towel).

Keep in mind, Jasmine is trained to drape towels and sheets discreetly to ensure your privacy is respected.
